 Procedure for receiving manuscripts

 The editorial board accepts articles based on new scientific research on topical issues of Altaic, Turkic and Mongolian studies.

  1. The editorial board accepts for consideratıon previously unpublished scientific works.
  2. The responsibilities of the authors include the absence of plagiarism or other borrowing in the content of the manuscript, they are also responsible for the accuracy of citations and information contained in the article. Authors are required to indicate the sources of citations and other data.
  3. Materials are accepted in Turkic languages, as well as in English, Mongolian and Russian, by e-mail: atjournal@twesco.org, napilbaz@gmail.com, aasem-dariya72@mail.ru
  4. The author’s original material is provided in electronic version in Open Office, Microsoft Word format. The article must contain the followings:
  • at the beginning of the article, at the top left should indicate: УДК https://teacode.com/online/udc/ , МРНТИ http://grnti.ru/;
  • DOI is required (for each article, which is a digital object identifier for unique and permanent online identification of journal content and links on the Internet and is assigned by the registration agency International DOI Foundation) Our journal provides DOI for each article;
  • article title (centered);
  • information about the author(s). (indicate the name, surname of the author, the name of the organization(s) in which the work was performed, academic degree and position, next to the surname of the author it is necessary to indicate a number, the same number is indicated in the name of the organization, city, country. From the new line, it is necessary to indicate the E-mail of the authors);
  • abstract (150-300 words) (which describes the essence and the research methods used, summarizes the most important results and their significance);
  • keywords (6-8 words/phrases) (which should reflect the main content of the article, determine the subject area of research, occur in the text);
  • The information about the author(s), the title of the article, abstract and keywords in English and Russian are drawn up in the same way;
  • Structuring the text for scientific articles is required!!! The structure of the article includes: introduction, objectives, goals, description of research methods, results, discussion, outcomes (conclusion), information on funding (if any), bibliography (For the rules of compilation, see below).

  1. The volume of the material should not exceed 25 A4 pages.
  2. Font: Times New Roman, shrift 12, line spacing 1.5, paragraph 1.25 cm;
  3. In the article there can be diagrams in Word and Excel.
  4. When tables are made in Word format, there should be no breaks when moving from one page to another.
  5. Electronic versions of figures used in the published material must be in jpg format (300-400 megapixels) (in the file names, please, put only numbers from “1.jpg” (or “Photo 1.jpg” onwards); For example: Photo 1. Participants of the field expedition in Turkestan. Photo N. Bazylkhan, 2010.
  6. Text files must be in DOC format (in addition to additional illustration files);

Design of Citation, References and Literature

  1. Design of Citation and References:
  • Links to sources of citations and other information are made in the text in square brackets: author’s surname, comma, year, colon, page. For example: “As A. N. Smagulov writes in his work [Smagulov, 2008: 8], dialogical interactions of cultures …”
  • If there are several authors, their names are indicated, separated by commas. For example: “The position of N. Bazylkhan and T.A. Kozyrev is presented in their monograph [Bazylkhan, Kozyrev, 2013: 25] “
  • If the co-authors of the cited material have the same surname, the initials of their name are indicated. For example: “In the book Val. A. and Vl. A. Lukovykh [Lukov Val., Lukov Vl., 2013: 25] … “
  • If the cited publication does not have athor, it is indicated by the title in full or abbreviated version without quotation marks. For example: [History of Theoretical Sociology. Beginning of the XX century, 2010] or [History…, 2010] – spaces are put before and after the ellipsis when abbreviated.
  • If an Internet source is indicated, then it is drawn up as follows: (author [or the title of the article, if there is no author], year of publication [if any]: Electronic resource).
  • The list of references contains only those sources to which the author refers in the text of the article.
  • Please note that the References should only consist of scientific indexed editions (articles in scientific journals, articles in scientific collections, articles in electronic databases with a scientific edition; monographs; scientific collections; literary editions with a scientific edition and scientific commentary). All other types of sources should be referred to by page-by-page automatic footnotes (footnotes are numbered starting with “1” on each page): articles in the media (print and electronic); texts of official documents in various publications (decrees, orders, resolutions, programs, etc.), including on the official Internet resources of organizations; texts of various works (not scientific); messages from social networks, etc. Archival sources (and data from the author’s field materials) are indicated in the text of the article in square brackets. In the first mention, the name of the archive is given in full: (Central State Archives – hereinafter CSA, f. 1, d. 2, l. 15). Further in the text it can be abbreviated: (CSA, f. 1, d. 2, l. 16). All abbreviations of the output data of archival documents are listed separated by commas and indicated with small letters and not included in the list of references.
  • The recommended number of sources in the list of references is from 10 to 30, in some cases a larger number is allowed.

 The list of references and its References is attached at the end of the article, and must be compiled in the sequence of use (GOST 7.1-2003 “Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description. General requirements and rules for compilation”);

  • References are arranged in alphabetical order. The list is not numbered;

Authors (transliteration) The title of the article in transliterated version [translation of the title of the article in English], the title of the source in Kazakh (Russian) [translation of the title of the source into English], the volume number follows the title of the journal without a leading comma, the number  of the issue is enclosed in brackets and follows the volume number, a comma after the issue number is followed by an interval of page numbers (the abbreviation “p.” before the interval of pages is not used), the year of publication is enclosed in brackets and follows the interval of page numbers hen, the language of the source is indicated [in Russian], [in Kazakh].

MIGRATIONS OF OGHUR TRIBES (V-VII CENTURIES).

 

Abstract. The novelty is the study of the Ogur migrations. The process of ethnogenesis of Bulgars took place in II-IV century in Central Asia. The migration of the Bulgarians in the Caspian steppe region dated of end of IV. In the middle of the V century, Onogures were forced to move from Dagestan and Kalmyk steppes to Asov Sea littoral under pressure Sabir (who came from Central Asia).
